The Deep River Coalition Inc., is a non-profit grassroots organization founded in 1996 to protect and restore North Carolina’s Deep River.

Our mission is to advance public understanding and appreciation of the Deep River’s unique natural environment, and actively work to protect it .

The coalition holds fellowship meetings to discuss and act on local environmental issues, publishes a newsletter ,The Trickle , initiate legal cases when deemed necessary, provide outings such as canoe trips, and help support a full-time lobbyist at the North Carolina General Assembly. We also have fun.

The Deep River Coalition, Inc. is a 501C3 organization.

Donations and the $ 25 per year membership dues are tax deductable.
